BANDITS LOCK UP KEY PLAYERS IN LONG-TERM EXTENSIONS Monday, August 21, 2006
The team came to terms with
several players with new contracts and extensions to current contracts
over the weekend. The team declared WR Ron Johnson, LB Ben Leber,
and CB Kevin Thomas to be their Core Free Agents for 2006. Johnson
and Leber agreed to 4-year deals worth over $1 million each next year,
while Thomas agreed to a 3-year deal worth $2.5 million in 2007.
Several other players agreed to contract extensions: CB Daniel "Blue"
Adams (3-year deal worth $700,000 in 2007); DE Charles Alston (4-year
deal worth $900,000 in 2007); RB/KR Dominique Dorsey (4-year deal worth
$175,000 in 2007); and LB Adrian Ross (3-year deal worth $650,000 in
2007).
